A source document changes. A translator updates the translated version. The people who signed yesterday may now be looking at a different agreement.
Keep the relationship explicit
The record should connect the source version, source hash, translated hash, translator attestation and the signature or acknowledgement that concerns them. A new version must not silently inherit the old response.
Certification is contextual
The translator's credentials, attestation and applicable requirements determine what can be claimed about a translation. A cryptographic binding protects the recorded relationship between the files; it does not certify linguistic accuracy.
